A third year student from South African Tshwane University of Technology has died from knife wounds.
Reports indicate the third year student was alleged to have been stabbed to death by her boyfriend. Ntokozo Mayenzi Xaba, 20, was allegedly stabbed to death by Ngcebo Thusi on February 2, 2023, in her student residence in Ekhaya Junction, Pretoria.
South African men killing their women has become a norm in their society. Recently, an abusive husband killed his wife and buried her in a toilet pit in his backyard.

Ntokozo’s friends notified security at her student accommodation after her phone was not reachable. Security personnel inspected Ntokozo’s apartment, and upon arrival, they found her dead with multiple stab wounds on her upper body.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) were notified of the incident. Further investigation revealed a male suspect was arrested on a charge of murder.
The suspect is believed to be Ntokozo’s boyfriend. According to reports, the two had a misunderstanding. He was the last person she was seen with before she died.
