Three Seriously Injured In Accident At Buduatta Junction
A tipper truck with the registration number GE 8814-21 collided with an articulated truck at Buduatta Junction on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region, critically injuring the driver and two companions.
They’ve been sent to St. Gregory Hospital immediately.
According to police sources, the articulated truck was moving toward Takoradi, and the driver of the tipper truck—registered as GM 2314-21—was going towards Accra.
The articulated truck driver, Daniel Addai, disclosed that he saw the tipper truck driver was dozing off and heading into his lane when he arrived at Gomoa Buduatta Junction.
He said that despite his best efforts, he was unable to prevent the tragedy because of the enormous weight in his vehicle.
Ebo Anderson, a Gomoa Potsin Rapid Response Team member who helped the police rescue the victims, pleaded with motorists to refrain from driving recklessly in the meanwhile.
