The 27-year-old defender is joining the porcupines on loan for the rest of the season. Banga has failed to command a starting role at the Moroccan side Difaa El Jidida. There will be no option to sign the defender on a permanent deal. Before the end of the season, the porcupine warriors are also looking to declare their intent for next season.
Banga joined the Sudanese giants from Difaa El Jidida in 2021 after an impressive season with the Moroccans. He failed to break into the Sudanese starting eleven. Charles will also enrich the Kotoko defence.
The departure of Ganiyu has affected the Kumasi Asante Kotoko team at the backline. Before leaving, most journalists lament what his absence could cause.
Charles is expected to be in Ghana by Friday to complete his medicals. He was brilliant for Cameroon in the 2020 CHAN tournament. Before he signs for the porcupine warriors, he will be briefed on the club’s project for the year. Kindly Follow Us on all social media platforms.
