Six people were killed and three injured in a severe fire that started before daybreak on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in Axim-Brewie, which is in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region.
Tragically, the fire claimed the lives of the victims, who were thought to be children between the ages of five and 10. Significant property damage was also inflicted by the fire; damages are reported to have totaled several thousand Ghana Cedis.
While the tragedy is still being investigated, the identities of the deceased have not yet been established.
