When the brakes on a loaded Sinotruck Howo truck failed and it wildly reversed, the truck was involved in an almost tragic accident in Agogo in the Ashanti Region.
The truck swerved to the side and almost hit a Nissan pickup that was tailgating.
Sensing impending danger, the astute pickup driver quickly swerved past the truck.
The Sinotruck veered off the road and eventually somersaulted into a ditch in an attempt to avoid colliding with the pickup.
Many of the roadside structures were destroyed as a result of the catastrophe.
Thankfully, there were no injuries recorded; nonetheless, the incident has sparked questions about local road safety and car maintenance.
