The U.S. President-elect Donald J. Trump has received official congratulations from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on his election victory, which brings him back to the White House after a four-year hiatus.
In a statement published by NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party applauded Trump’s decisive triumph as a symbol of renewed faith in competent leadership.
Drawing comparisons between Ghana’s current political situation and American voters’ preference for seasoned leadership, the NDC views Trump’s comeback as a positive indication for its own chances in the country’s next elections.
The NDC said it is hopeful that Ghanaians will reject the present government’s “eight years of insensitivity, corruption, and economic mismanagement” as they get ready to cast their ballots on December 7.
