Tupac’s family eyes legal action against Diddy over 2pac death.

The family of Tupac Shakur might be considering the possibility of filing a suit against Sean “Diddy” Combs following resurfaced claims that he had a hand in the murder of the late rapper.

According to reports, they have retained the services of lawyers and investigators to confirm the validity of the claims.

In the meantime, Diddy is yet to be considered as a suspect in the murder, despite the resurfaced claims.

In September last year, Keefe D, the last surviving suspect in the murder of Tupac, was arrested and charged.

A recent attempt by him to post bail was unsuccessful but led to the resurfacing of previous claims that embattled music mogul Diddy might have been involved in the murder of Tupac.

Apparently, these claims have not gone unnoticed by Tupac’s family, who have reportedly hired lawyers and investigators to get to the bottom of the allegations.

TMZ reports that they hope to “dig up any potential evidence that exists to corroborate it” in the process and may consider filing a lawsuit if any evidence supporting the claims is found.

During a 2009 interview with the police, Keefe D claimed that Diddy paid a high-level drug dealer, Eric Von Martin, one million dollars to assassinate Shakur. These comments were referenced in a filing to deny him bail, in which Diddy’s name appeared 77 times.

One of the citations revealed that Diddy allegedly offered to pay for the assassination to retaliate against Marion “Suge” Knight, a then-record executive turned convict.

Knight was the co-founder and CEO of Death Row Records, the label to which Shakur was signed during the latter part of his career. He was also in the car with Shakur when the drive-by shooting occurred.

“Puffy Combs….Does he play a role in this thing?…” the police had asked Keefe D during his 2009 interview, per the News Chronicle. At the time, Davis had replied, “Yeah, I think he did.”

Despite the resurfaced claims, Diddy is still not considered a suspect, and it is unclear if that status quo will change.
