Violent Clash At Christian Methodist SHS Injures Two

Violent altercations between students and inhabitants of New Aplaku in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region resulted in two significant injuries, including one to a Christian Methodist Senior High School (SHS) student.
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, a group of students allegedly attacked a coworker for allegedly stealing a cell phone.
An eyewitness told Adom News that the accused student sought safety in a nearby store but was hunted down by the irate gang.
They also used scissors to stab a community member in the eye and damaged the store.
Tensions increased on Friday morning as some students allegedly used weapons in another incident.
Speaking about the development, shocked locals voiced their worries about the students’ behavior, with some even doubting if they were actually students or landguards.
Due to their hostile behavior, they also suspected that some of the pupils were under the influence of drugs.
After some community members started organizing for retaliation, a combined military and police force took control of the school in reaction to the growing unrest.
