Wontumi Donates GH¢100k To Kwadaso Market Fire Victims

Following a terrible fire that destroyed parts of the Kwadaso market, the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, contributed GH¢100,000 to support traders.

Around forty stores were damaged by the fire, which broke out in the wee hours of Thursday, August 1, 2024, severely hurting the traders’ finances.

Chairman Wontumi conveyed his sincere condolences to the victims. He stated that helping individuals who are immediately affected by the fire is his main priority.

He gave the market queens bundles of cash to help people who lost their jobs in the fire right away.

Merchants in the M line of the market, where the fire did the most damage, lamented the loss of products valued at millions of cedis, including clothing, shoes, frozen meals, plantains, yams, and more.

As they deal with the financial effects of the catastrophe, many dealers are in a state of despair as a result of the occurrence.
