In Kasoa American Town, a 15-year-old kid passed away after his mother assaulted him for stealing GH¢80.00.
The boy’s mother, who runs a well-known bakery in American Town, reportedly reported that her GH¢80.00 was gone and that she accused her son of taking it over the weekend.
It is reported that she assaulted him and threatened to turn him over to the police if he didn’t confess.
However, while traveling to the police station in a taxi, the youngster unfortunately passed away.
When GNA went to the victim’s house on Monday, they discovered a group of relatives there wearing melancholy clothes.
They stated the incident had been reported to the Kasoa Divisional Police Command, but they would not comment further.
Further investigation at the police station, however, showed that no such report had been submitted.
When GNA went to visit the mother, her shop was discovered to be locked.
The deceased person’s body has been placed at the Mother and Child Hospital in CP, a Kasoa suburb.
