The first training session for the Ghanaian Black Stars ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers was held on Monday afternoon.
This month, the team is preparing for two crucial games as they take on Angola and Niger in Group F’s opening matchups.
The senior national squad arrived in Accra on Monday, September 2, to start their training camp with an emphasis on honing strategies and building cohesiveness within the team.
Thomas Partey, Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Frederick Asare, Ebenezer Annan, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku were among the ten players who took part in the first practice at the Accra Sports Stadium.
It is anticipated that the remaining invited players would arrive at the camp later on Monday night.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 5, Ghana will play Angola in their first qualifying match. The Black Stars’ second qualifying match will then match them against Niger.
