Ghanaian forward Moses Gyabaah Twum arrives in Egypt for Haras El Hodoud move
Ghanaian striker Moses Gyabaah Twum has arrived in Egypt to finalise a move to Egyptian Premier League side Haras El Hodoud SC, completing a swift switch after previous offers from Ghana’s biggest clubs failed to materialise.
The 23-year-old forward is set to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club and will join in time for the remainder of the Egyptian top-flight season. This move marks his first professional stint outside Ghana, representing a major career step.
The transfer concludes a short period of speculation about his future. In December, the striker was offered to Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko SC. However, neither club was able to finalise a deal, paving the way for his move abroad.
News of Twum’s departure follows earlier and conflicting reports. Just days ago, some social media accounts had claimed he was in Jordan to complete a move to Al Jazeera Club. That move clearly did not progress, leading to his current destination in Egypt.
The failure of the Ghanaian clubs to act has now given Haras El Hodoud a clear path to secure his signature. The club will be hoping Twum can quickly adapt to his new surroundings and make an immediate impact as they look to strengthen their attack for the second half of the campaign.
