36 new Mpox cases recorded in Ghana

36 new Mpox cases recorded in Ghana; total now 657

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 36 new cases of Mpox, increasing the country’s total number of infections to 657 as of September 28, 2025.

The latest figure represents a steady rise in reported cases over recent weeks. According to the Service, three deaths have so far been recorded, with one patient currently on admission.

Health experts have cautioned that Mpox spreads primarily through close contact with infected persons. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes, and skin rashes.

The Service is urging the public to maintain good personal hygiene and to report immediately to the nearest health facility if they experience any symptoms associated with the disease.
