While foraging for bush meat, an older brother named Kwasi is said to have shot his 17-year-old younger brother.
The incident happened at Dakurpe, an agricultural village in the Savannah Region’s Bole region.
During a hunting trip on his farm, the elder brother aimed to shoot a bird but tragically hit his younger brother, Yaw, in the stomach instead. The accident resulted in Yaw sustaining gunshot wounds.
Aba-irasug, the father of both the victim and the suspect, recounted the unfortunate incident to Adom News. Yaw was quickly taken to the Bole district government hospital for medical attention following the accident.
Additionally, a complaint has been filed with the Bole police regarding the incident. As a result, the suspect has been detained in police custody while investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, the victim continues to receive medical care at the Bole district government hospital.
