Kevin de Bruyne Available For Transfer to Saudi League

A transfer to the Saudi Pro League (SPL) has Kevin De Bruyne “open” to the idea because of the “incredible” cash gain associated with moving to the Gulf country.

With one year remaining on his deal at the Etihad Stadium, the Manchester City midfielder has been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia.

De Bruyne’s representatives visited ten Saudi teams in three days in May, according to a source who spoke with ESPN, and the Belgium star acknowledged that the financial incentives offered in the nation enticed him.

De Bruyne spoke to Belgian outlet HLN:

“At my age you have to be open to everything,”

“You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.

“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet.

“Then you have to think about what that could mean next. But at the moment I haven’t had to think about that yet.”

“These are conversations that we are increasingly having as a family,”

During his nine years at City, De Bruyne has six Premier League championships.

Due to a hamstring injury, he missed the first five months of the previous season and was limited to just 18 league games.

De Bruyne, who is 32 years old and has also been connected to an MLS move, stated it’s time to start planning his next move.
