Ghanaian Winger Omari Forson Joins AC Monza From Man Utd

Nathan Omari Forson, an offensive midfielder and winger from Ghana who was born in London, has reached an agreement to sign with AC Monza of Serie A. In the 2023–2024 Serie A standings, Monza came in 12th.

Forson signs a four-year contract with the Italian team, and according to Italian football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Man United will get an unknown compensation figure following his departure.

The London-born youngster, who turns 20 in July, has played for The Red Devils in the Premier League four times as a senior since making his debut with the squad in the 2022–2023 campaign alongside fellow English midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who is of Ghanaian origin.

Before transferring to Manchester United’s youth system, where he won the FA Youth Cup, he was a member of the Tottenham Hotspurs Academy. At the senior level, Erik Ten Hag’s Man United team, led by left-footed Forson, defeated Manchester City 2-1 to win the Emirates FA Cup.

Forson is qualified to represent Ghana internationally despite having played for England’s U-16, U-19, and U-20 teams, expanding the pool of potential available to the Black Stars in the wing positions.
