Aguero Welcomes Messi To Miami With Symbolic Herd Of Goats

As the team continues to prepare for Copa America, legendary Argentina player Sergio Aguero has welcomed Lionel Messi and the rest of the team to Miami.

Aguero arranged a photo shoot with goats to welcome the Argentina squad to Miami for the 2024 Copa America, symbolizing their readiness for the tournament as the top team.

Speaking to Stake, Aguero said:

I’ve played with the GOAT, and it was great to spend the day with some more of his kind! If Argentina can win Copa America, then they can cement their legacy as one of the greatest teams of all time. Argentina is always a candidate… but, pressure? I don’t think so. I think we’re used to this. Now, it’s about preserving the style and team-concept we’ve developed. We won what we’ve won because of this.”

It’s not certain, but the upcoming Copa America might be Messi’s last major international tournament. He could choose to stay for two more years and play in one final World Cup, but there’s no pressure since he already won it in Qatar two years ago.

Argentina, current Copa America champions since their victory over Brazil in 2021, are in Group A with Canada, Peru, and Chile for the 2024 tournament. They begin their campaign against Canada in a few days, aiming to defend their title.
