Al-Ittihad Eyes Mohammed Kudus, Ready To Triple Salary

Saudi Pro Football League club Al-Ittihad is eyeing Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United in the English Premier League.

ESPN reports the 23-year-old former Ajax Amsterdam player, who impressed in his debut EPL season with the Hammers, may move to Saudi Arabia.

According to Spotrac, Kudus earns £90,000 ($114,351.30) weekly at West Ham, with Brazilian Lucas Paqueta topping the team’s salary at £150,000 per week. Reports suggest Kudus could earn $300,000 per week in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Ittihad competes in the Saudi League, which has gained popularity for its high-profile transfers, including Cristiano Ronaldo. The club boasts former UEFA Champions League winners Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante on its roster.

Kudus recently played in Ghana’s World Cup qualifications for 2026, which saw the Black Stars defeat Mali 2-1 and the Central African Republic 4-3, respectively.

After registering 18 goals and seven assists in 48 games across all competitions during his rookie campaign, Kudus came in second in West Ham’s Player of the Season Awards.
