Ayariga Advises Cheddar to Focus on His Business, Not Presidency

Hassan Ayariga, leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), criticized Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, for his presidential ambitions in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Ayariga questioned Cheddar’s suitability due to his lack of political experience and advised him to prioritize his business pursuits instead.

Ayariga suggested that Cheddar focus on areas where he has expertise, implying that political leadership requires specific qualifications and experience.

Hassan Ayariga expressed skepticism on Nana Kwame Bediako’s pledge to extend the sea to the Ashanti Region, arguing that sensible policies that promote economic development are more important for Ghana than extravagant and impractical schemes that might not materialize.

He spoke to JoyPrime:

“I don’t know what got Cheddar into the game; I don’t know his vision or reason for coming into the game. Cheddar is a friend and a businessman. He should run the business…the presidency is not for him,”

“Who can take the sea to Kumasi? When you sit down and say you’re taking the sea to Kumasi, and you sit down to analyse that policy, what does he intend to achieve? Common roads, you cannot do in this country.

“You’re not talking about building roads in Accra or increasing productivity in Ghana and making us self-sufficient and having food security; you’re thinking about the impossible. How many containers go to Kumasi?,”
