Samuel Atta-Akyea, a Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa South, has deemed the 2024 election ticket of Drs. Mahamudu Bawumia and Matthew Opoku Prempeh to be risky.
He claims that this is the case since both have excellent leadership abilities that will alter Ghanaian politics and revive the country’s economy.
“The combination is dangerous .” A lot will change because we have a running partner who is action-oriented and a flagbearer who is knowledgeable about the economy,” he said.
In a Friday interview with Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen program, he said that the two can garner votes from throughout the nation to support the NPP’s continued hold on power.
“Ghanaians will weigh the presidential candidates of both the NPP and NDC. They will both strive for the votes from the northern parts of the country but now that NAPO is in the game, he will boost NPP’s gains in the Ashanti region and we will definitely break the 8.
On Thursday, July 4, the National Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) formally approved Dr. Bawumia’s running mate, Napo, the Manhyia South MP and Energy Minister.
The NPP and certain Ghanaians have already responded to the announcement in different ways.
However, the former Minister of Works and Housing has remarked that no one can receive 100 percent approval, therefore it is not surprise that there is opposition to the nomination.
Using scripture as support, Mr. Atta-Akyea claimed that Jesus, who was blameless, was the target of numerous charges.
Having collaborated with NAPO throughout the years, the congressman is certain that NAPO will alter the narrative because of his constant dedication and diligence.
As a result, the MP has asked party members to back Dr. Bawumia’s selection.
