Rawlings’ Son Kimathi Supports John Mahama’s Campaign

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, Kimathi Rawlings, the late former president Jerry John Rawlings’ (JJ) son, who is not usually active in politics, joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign.

Kimathi attended an Accra rally in support of former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the NDC, alongside his sister Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, the Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey.

Kimathi was presented on stage by Haruna Iddrisu, the NDC member of parliament for Tamale South.

He and his sister fired up the audience with a medley of NDC chants.

Zanetor fervently urged everyone present to support Mahama and the other NDC parliamentary candidates.

She claimed that choosing Mahama alone will make it more difficult for him to deal with the problems the current administration has caused.

In order to facilitate quick and all-encompassing governance starting on January 7, 2025, Zanetor advised Ghanaians to cast ballots for both the NDC presidential and legislative candidates.
