Posing as their lecturer, the imposter walked into a freshmen class and announced a surprise test.
He took multiple phones throughout the exam, presumably to stop people from cheating, and then he fled the classroom.
The class representative was instructed by the impostor lecturer to gather the tests and bring them to his office.
However, instead of returning, he absconded with the phones.
The students, realizing they had been duped, used tracking technology to locate their phones.
The signal reportedly led them to a black market where the suspect was attempting to sell the stolen devices.
Acting swiftly, the students rushed to the location and apprehended the man.
Upon being confronted, the suspect confessed that he was not a lecturer at the school.N
