In the Eastern region’s Akuapim North constituency, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will spearhead a significant event known as “The Mega Ofie Walk.”
The purpose of this walk is to mobilize party members and supporters to end the eight-year cycle of government.
The event is planned for Saturday, August 3, 2024, and is expected to draw more than 5,000 people.
Sammi Awuku, the National Lottery Authority Director General and parliamentary candidate for Akuapim North, will serve as its leader.
Starting from Mamfe and ending at Mampong Coronation Park, the 6-kilometer walk is expected will take place peacefully.
This stroll would also mark the official beginning of Awuku’s campaign, presenting the NPP’s plan to defeat the NDC in the constituency.
Other notable NPP officials, including as Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Justin Frimpong Kodua, Henry Nana Boakye, Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh, Kwabena Agyepong, Nana Akomea, and Anthony Karbo, will be present alongside Dr. Bawumia.
The event will be graced by the Eastern Regional Chairman, as well as regional and constituency officials.
Mega celebration including well-known performers like Andy Dosty, Edem, Guru, and Praye will also take place.
Asamoah Gyan, the former Black Stars captain, will also make a unique appearance.
In order to build on its accomplishments, Dr. Bawumia is anticipated to give a speech emphasizing the value of supporting the NPP government going forward.
