Famous Singer & Whitney Houston’s Mother, Cissy Houston, Passes Away At 91.

Cissy Houston, the mother of Whitney Houston, has passed away at the age of 91.

The two-time Grammy Award-winning singer, who was born in 1933, had a successful singing career, performing alongside stars like Elvis Presley and Aretha Franklin.

Houston was the youngest of eight children and began singing at a young age.

She formed the gospel group Sweet Inspirations in the 1960s and later soloed with artists like Chaka Khan, Jimi Hendrix, Beyonce, and her late daughter Whitney.

Houston won a Grammy Award for her soul gospel album Face to Face in 1997 and He Leadeth Me in the following year.
