2024 CHAN Qualifiers: Ghana Set For Showdown With Rivals Nigeria

In the second round of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 qualifiers, Ghana will play Nigeria, its adversary from West Africa, this December.

The draw, which took place on October 9, 2024, at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, pitted the Black Galaxies against their Nigerian rivals.

December 20–22, 2024, is when the first leg of the match will take place in Ghana; December 27–29, 2024, is when the return leg will take place in Nigeria.

Ghana defeated Nigeria in a hard-fought qualifying match that resulted in a 2-2 aggregate score in the previous edition of the CHAN tournament in Algeria, with Ghana winning in penalty shootouts.

The victor of this two-leg match will be eligible to compete in the 2024 CHAN, which will be hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania next year.

The rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria promises to make for an exciting contest.
