GHAMRO Needs An External Audit – Amakye Dede
Ghanaian High-life legend, Nana Amakye Dede, is calling for an internal audit at GHAMRO.
According to him, selfish people are running the Ghana Music Rights Organizations (GHAMRO). His call is part of numerous calls by artists to audit the firm.
Lamenting about the funds that go into the coffers of GHAMRO, Abrantie Amakye Dede stated that some executives have hoarded monies without paying.

Some people are spending the sweat of creative musicians in Ghana. We are supposed to live life because someone has written their songs and you don’t even know how they came up with the creative piece.
Musicians go through stress to write lyrics and spend millions of cedis to produce them. Then again, they will sit at their office and give you peanuts for your work. The likes of Shatta Wale have complained about how the association is milking Ghanaian creative arts creators. Recently, Cece Twum was given 150 Ghana Cedis as royalties.
You are not at the office to embezzle funds which is not nice because one person alone cannot eat and the rest go hungry. He cried out.
