Abdul Rashid Adam, a defender from Ghana, has started working out for West Ham United, a Premier League team.
In order to obtain important experience, the gifted left back will be spending the next few weeks in London with the Hammers’ young squad.
Since Adam has been practicing with West Ham’s U18 team, the move was allowed by Tim Steidten, the club’s technical director.
The 18-year-old is regarded as a rising star and currently plays for Benab FC in Ghana’s Division 2. He has also played for Ghana’s U20 team, the Black Satellites.
Adam can play both left defender and left center back thanks to his versatility.
His goal is to emulate fellow Ghanaian Joseph Anang, who, following a good trial, was able to gain a position with West Ham.
