“Kwabena Kwabena: My Divorce Nearly Turned Me Into A ‘Funny Face'”

Kwabena Kwabena, a Ghanaian artist and composer, recently talked about the difficulties he encountered following his second divorce.

He said that, like comedian Funny Face, who has been dealing with emotional difficulties after broken relationships and being separated from his kids, he almost had a mental health crisis.

The “Adult Music” singer revealed in an interview with Ghana News TV that his buddies were a major factor in his second broken marriage.

As he considered Funny Face’s hardships, he showed a great deal of empathy.

“It was very difficult when I ended my marriage. I can say I was not far from what happened to my brother, Funny Face. Every time I see him, I cry because it could have been me. So, let us keep our brother in our prayers.”

Grateful for his recovery, Kwabena Kwabena credited his resilience to his faith.

“I’m thankful to God that I’m still alive and sound. I didn’t know how I got out of that situation,” he remarked.

When asked about his new gospel single, “Fakye Me,” he revealed that it emerged during a period of personal turmoil.

“I wrote that song when I was going through a lot. I asked God to forgive me if I had done something wrong because I am only human. I can make mistakes, but should my mistakes lead me to such a situation?”

Kwabena Kwabena married Abena Owusuaa in 2010 after his first divorce, but their marriage ended in a highly publicized divorce in 2017.
