President Akufo-Addo Builds Statue In His Honor At Effia-Nkwanta Hospital

A monument of President Akufo-Addo has been unveiled at the entrance to Sekondi’s Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.

On Wednesday, November 6, he conducted a one-day “thank you” tour throughout the Western Region, which included the unveiling.

Speaking to the populace, President Akufo-Addo outlined the achievements of his administration, stating that he had kept 80 percent of his pledges to Ghanaians.

In the general elections scheduled for December 7, he asked voters to back Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, saying that a vote for the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would let his administration’s policies and programs to continue.

The president also highlighted the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy’s revolutionary effects across the country, calling it his most important legacy.

Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, the Western Regional Minister, said in remarks after the statue’s unveiling that the memorial honors the President’s contributions to the area.

He highlighted important initiatives carried out under President Akufo-Addo’s leadership, such as the renovation of the Takoradi Market Circle, the building of a three-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the restoration of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.

These projects are still unfinished in the meantime.
