Wendy Shay Supports Manhean M/A Basic School With Donation On World Children’s Day
Award-winning Ghanaian musician Wendy Addo, well known by her stage as Wendy Shay, continues to brighten the days of those who are regrettably the underprivileged in society.
In 2024, the gifted musician chose to support the Manhean M/A Basic School in Ghana’s Eastern Region as part of the observance of World Children’s Day.
In order to support teaching and learning, Wendy Shay donated more than 100 school uniforms, 1,000 exercise books, 100 erasers, 216 pencils, 100 sharpeners, 100 rulers, and 100 pens to the kids through her foundation.
The “Vivian” hitmaker also provided the schools with 30 packs of whiteboard markers, two graphic boards, four white marker boards, and alphabet and number charts to enhance the interactive and accessible nature of the lessons.
In order to make the classroom more comfortable for both teachers and kids, she went one step further and added 10 ceiling fans.
During her brief speech at the ceremony, Wendy Shay said that her foundation had provided funding for the school’s damaged floors to be maintained, providing a truckload of sand and 26 bags of cement to strengthen safety.
Additionally, she mentioned that she had donated six plastic chairs, giving staff and students additional seats.
To wrap it all up, Wendy Shay indicated that this was the first of the many great things her foundation was going to do in Ghana, as she appealed for all the help she could get.
