Following their untimely deaths in a gas explosion at their house, Afro-pop artist Patoranking has paid a heartfelt homage to his younger sister Chioma and her husband George Onuabuchi.
Chioma died instantly after the tragedy, but George lived at first but passed away on September 11, 2024, from his wounds.
Thankfully, the couple’s 3-year-old son, who was at the time with his grandmother, survived the catastrophe unharmed.
Patoranking announced the tragic news in his first social media post since the devastating loss. “Only heaven knows,” he wrote in an emotional Instagram post.
The tribute struck a profound chord with fans and fellow artists, who poured condolences and supportive notes into the comments section.
In Uburu, Ohaozara, Ebonyi State, the couple was buried in a heartfelt funeral service.
