The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it is prepared for the 2024 Special Voting Exercise, which will take place at 276 locations across the country on Monday, December 2, 2024.
EC Chairperson Jean Mensa promised that all preparations were made to guarantee a seamless process during a meeting with the National Security Task Force, which was presided over by Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akufo-Dampare.
95% of the ballots had been distributed for the general election scheduled for December 7, 2024, according to Jean Mensa.
Additionally, biometric verification devices are on their way to district offices so they can be used on election day.
Additionally, beginning on Tuesday, November 26, ballots will be sent to the Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions; the remaining regions will be covered thereafter.
Because of their crucial duties on December 7, certain registered voter categories, including as journalists and security workers, can cast their ballots ahead of the general election through the Special Voting Exercise.
