After surviving a severe medical emergency, Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is celebrating life and good health this Thanksgiving.
The actress described her ordeal in an emotional social media post. It began weeks ago when she first started having severe acid reflux and severe chest and back discomfort.
Omotola continued by saying that her condition deteriorated, leading to severe stomach pain and frequent vomiting.
She explained how she was admitted and discharged from the hospital several times, each time receiving short-term respite before being sent home. But following a battery of tests, including an MRI and CT scan, it was determined that she had a severely dilated gallbladder, necessitating surgery right away.
“Have you been told by a doctor, ‘There’s nothing more we can do’? And you still feel like you’re dying? I was rushed again to the emergency… the third time! This time, I was wheeled in straight for a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI. Then the doctor came in and said you have to go in immediately for surgery! … to remove your gallbladder!!! It was so dilated, the doctors wondered how I was not in more pain. More pain??!!!”
Thankfully, the procedure went well, and she reported that she is now fully recovered.
Omotola took use of the occasion to encourage her followers to stop and count their blessings, regardless of their current situation.
