Tuesday night at Sunyani-Asufufu, a truck that was heavily loaded with wood collapsed and fell unto a motorcycle, causing a tragic accident.
Reports state that the weight of the wood caused the truck to lose its equilibrium and topple over, regrettably landing on the motorbike traveling down the street.
Beneath the truck, the motorbike rider and the pillion were stuck.
Due to his grave state, the rider was sent to a neighboring hospital for immediate medical assistance.
In an attempt to liberate the woman who is still trapped beneath the car, locals started a desperate rescue operation and worked nonstop.
We do not yet know the extent of her injuries or if she is still alive.
Concerned locals gathered in response to the event, with some attempting to move the truck and rescue the trapped woman with improvised equipment.
Rescue crews were on the spot to offer assistance.
