The developer of the Saglemi housing project has assured the public that the recent fire incident did not affect the houses.
During a visit by the Minister of Works and Housing, Kwadwo Oppong Nkrumah, the developer provided details on the cause and impact of the fire, clarifying earlier reports that suggested the project itself had been gutted.
“It was not the houses,” the developer emphasized. “As I said earlier, it was the storage area at our campsite.”
He attributed the fire to labourers attempting to burn weeds, which accidentally spread to an external warehouse on the site.
The developer reassured the public that the houses remain intact, and measures are being taken to prevent future incidents.
