Manchester United Refuse Napoli Approach For Garnacho.

Alejandro Garnacho, an Italian winger, was approached by Manchester United but rejected.

Garnacho, 20, is the Serie A team’s top target, and they intend to use the funds raised from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s upcoming transfer to Paris St-Germain.

They were unsuccessful, though, with their first bid for Garnacho, which was much less than the Red Devils’ asking price for the Argentina international.

Although the specifics of the correspondence are unknown, it is believed that Napoli mentioned a sum of approximately £40 million.

United is not promoting proposals for Garnacho or England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, but they will consider offers for academy players to help manager Ruben Amorim rebuild.

Amorim stated in a statement on Wednesday that Garnacho has a future at Old Trafford.

That is clear. He has talent,” said Amorim.

“I think he changed the way he sees himself.

“He’s finding the best way to play in this system and is improving during training.”

Garnacho played all ninety minutes as United overcame a deficit to defeat Southampton 3-1 at Old Trafford on Thursday in the Premier League. Amad Diallo’s 12-minute hat-trick helped United win the match.

Garnacho, who joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2021, has made 117 first-team appearances and scored 23 goals since his debut in 2022.

Despite having eight goals in 31 games this season, he and teammate Marcus Rashford were benched by Amorim for the team’s victory over Manchester City at the Etihad in December.
