“There’s no leadership in the Appointments Committee”- Nana Ato Dadzie

Renowned lawyer and former Chief of Staff, Nana Ato Dadzie, has criticized the Appointments Committee, stating that it lacks effective leadership.

Speaking on Newsfile this morning, he expressed concern over the committee’s handling of proceedings, particularly after he appeared before it as legal counsel for Oliver Barker-Vormawor, who had been summoned over bribery allegations.

According to Nana Ato Dadzie, his observations during the session led him to anticipate potential disorder, a prediction he claims materialized with the brawl that erupted on Thursday, January 30.

“I hope I don’t shock you, but when I appeared before the committee, I predicted what happened two days later… there was a lack of leadership,” he told host Sampson Ayenini.

However, Deputy Minority Chief Whip, Hon. Habib Iddrisu,  disagreed with his assertion, arguing that while one may take issue with certain actions of the committee, it would be inaccurate to claim there is a complete lack of leadership.8
