Nana Ama McBrown Adopts A 1-Year-Old Girl Who Lost Her Mother

Information reaching us says that philanthropist and Ghanaian actress/co-host Nana Ama McBrown has adopted a year-old girl who lost her mother.

With her family, including her husband, Maxwell Mawu Mensah, McBrown recently attended a church for a program.

The actress noticed Adepa, a little child, at the presentation. She was drawn to her by her joyous personality.

McBrown spoke to the audience and described why she chose to adopt Adepa in a video that the Instagram site @sweet maame adwoa published.

She said that she had asked her uncle to contact the girl’s mother and ask her to send some of her daughter’s old clothes.

A little over a year old, the girl’s mother had passed away, she was told. She was struck hard by the realization, which made her stop and reflect.

McBrown claimed that she was moved to act after giving the little girl’s predicament some thought. She talked it over with her husband after being persuaded, and he backed her up in her efforts to complete the adoption.

McBrown continued by saying that she had initially preferred Adepa to remain with her father so she could take care of her in terms of food and other necessities.

But she continued to hear the same voice telling her to take the girl into her home.

She said that Adepa’s father could always come for her whenever he wished, and that she would love the little girl like her own daughter.
