American actor, songwriter and event MC Jamie Foxx on Tuesday, April 11, was taken to a hospital in Atlanta after suffering an undisclosed medical emergency.
Jamie Foxx has been making waves with many projects this year. The 55-year-old had been filming ‘Back In Action’ in Atlanta with actress Cameron Diaz on Monday.
A statement released by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, disclosed the Oscar award-winning actor had suffered a “medical complication” that required him to be taken to the hospital.

The statement reads:
‘’We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday [Tuesday]. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
