Alidu Seidu To Miss Rest Of The Season Following ACL Injury.

Alidu Seidu, a defender for Ghana and Stade Rennais F.C., has a big obstacle after rupturing his left knee’s anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during Sunday’s match between Rennes and Lille in Ligue 1.

The 24-year-old was forced to leave the pitch in tears due to the injury, which happened in the 18th minute of the game.

On Monday, Rennes confirmed the diagnosis but did not give a specific timeframe for recovery.

However, recovering from an ACL injury usually takes many months, so Seidu is essentially out for the rest of the season.

Rennes, who are having trouble under new coach Jorge Sampaoli, are severely impacted by this news.

Only one point above the relegation zone, the team is in a vulnerable position at 15th in the Ligue 1 rankings. This is Rennes’ lowest point total to date at this stage of the season since 2002.

Rennes and the Ghanaian national team have benefited greatly from Seidu’s versatility and defensive skills.

It is anticipated that his absence will make Rennes’ struggles to save their season much more difficult.

Although the squad has not yet revealed a strategy to cover for Seidu’s injury, supporters and players have come together to offer their condolences and best wishes to the defender as he starts his recuperation.
