West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus is apparently a target for Arsenal, and according to Spanish sources, the Premier League team is willing to pay £83 million (100 million euros) to get him.
Fichajes claims that Kudus is keen to relocate to the Emirates because he wants to compete in European competition.
Although it’s unknown if he accepted the invitation from the club, the Ghanaian international was spotted at Arsenal’s 2-0 triumph against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League in October.
Kudus’ contract with West Ham is set to expire in 2028, with the possibility of an extension. He scored in the Hammers’ 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Arsenal in November 2023. But his ambition to play in Europe might push him to relocate to Arsenal.
Kudus is a versatile attacker who can play both centrally and out wide, which makes him an invaluable member of Mikel Arteta’s team as they attempt to compete on several fronts.
Despite a projected £85 million release clause in Kudus’ contract, Arsenal is apparently willing to pursue every option in order to finalize the transfer next summer.
After spending £38 million plus add-ons to join West Ham from Ajax in 2023, Kudus had a stellar first season, tallying 14 goals in all competitions.
The 24-year-old has made eight appearances for the Hammers this season, scoring twice.
