Attacker Saaka Dauda has joined Asante Kotoko, the titans of the Ghana Premier League.
The 24-year-old forward signs a three-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors, extending his stay with the team until the summer of 2027, after leaving the relegated Bofoakwa Tano team.
After an outstanding 2023–24 Ghana Premier League season in which he scored eight goals in 32 games despite his team’s relegation, Dauda became a highly sought-after player.
Dauda was an important member of Bofoakwa Tano’s squad that advanced to the MTN FA Cup final before losing to Nsoatreman FC. His exceptional performance adds significant value to Asante Kotoko.
The additions of Joseph Ablorh, Elvis Kyei Baffour, Ndongani Samba Gilbani Oneil, Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Hassabalbagi, and AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub have already been confirmed by Asante Kotoko in addition to Dauda.
The Reds are hoping for a prosperous 2024–25 Ghana Premier League season following a dismal 6th-place result in the previous year.
