FC Barcelona has revealed that attacker Lamine Yamal will be out for three to four weeks due to an injury.
The injury was sustained by the 17-year-old during Barcelona’s latest game against CD Leganés on Sunday.
Following a blow to his right ankle, Yamal’s medical examination on Monday showed a grade 1 anterior tibiofibular ligament injury.
According to a club statement, Lamine Yamal was hit in the right ankle during Sunday’s match against CD Leganés.
In the 75th minute, Gavi replaced Yamal, who had been substituted. The young winger’s absence for the upcoming weeks has been confirmed by Barcelona.
With six goals and eleven assists in all competitions this season, the gifted attacker has been a vital member of Barcelona’s squad.
