Broda Sammy Endorses Bawumia In New Song ‘Steer’
In the forthcoming elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has the backing of gospel musician Broda Sammy, also referred to as the Nation’s Worshipper, who wrote the campaign song “Steer.”
Broda Sammy encourages Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Bawumia as the next president in the Steer song by highlighting his accomplishments as vice president throughout his two stints in office.
Important NPP figures are also mentioned in the song, including Egyapa Mercer, Mark Okraku-Mantey, Henry Quartey, and President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on UTV over the weekend, Broda Sammy disclosed that he had received an invitation to write and support a major political party’s campaign in advance of the elections.
He thanked the NPP for providing him with the chance and said he was excited to be involved in their campaign.
With this support, Broda Sammy becomes the latest public personality, along with Samini, to give their voices to political campaigns as the elections in December 2024 approach.
