Yesterday, the driver of a moving car in Labone fell asleep behind the wheel, causing the car to catch fire.
The car, bearing the license plate GM 708-21, collided with an electrical pole, causing the catastrophe.
Regaining consciousness, the driver tried to go on and saw the car was on fire.
The car caught fire after the Ghana Fire Service National Headquarters was called to the scene due to their inability to adequately respond to the distress call.
However, the staff managed to put out the fire.
When the fire was extinguished, the car was reduced to ashes despite their best efforts.
The accident and fire that followed were determined to be caused by the driver’s inattention.
