Charles Sampson, a former Ghanaian international, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Black Princesses, Ghana’s U-20 women’s side.
Yussif Basigi, who led the squad during the most recent FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, is replaced by Sampson.
Having been an assistant coach for the Black Queens, Sampson, who is 44 years old, brings a plethora of experience to the position.
After starting his coaching career with Sweden’s Assyriska United Girls U-15, he managed Telge United FC, a team in the Swedish Women’s League.
Anita Wiredu, who continues to serve as assistant coach, and Fiifi Parker Hanson, head coach of Golden Kicks, will aid the former Ghana U-20 player.
