Cheddar, also known as Nana Kwame Bediako, has given traders impacted by the recent Kantamanto fire a lifeline.
Shortly after the disaster, Cheddar paid a visit to the spot to offer condolences to the victims and gave market leaders GHS 50,000 to distribute.
To help individuals whose livelihoods were destroyed by the fire, he urged other Ghanaians to come forward.
Many traders were heartbroken as a result of the fire that destroyed areas of the bustling business hub, depriving them of their goods and livelihoods.
More than 7000 stores were reduced to ashes by fire.
The shopkeepers, many of whom are having difficulty rebuilding their enterprises, have benefited somewhat from the donation.
The dealers have urged other charitable organizations to assist them and have expressed their appreciation for the prompt involvement.
As we are all in high spirits for the new year, let’s try our best to support the victims of the Kantamanto disaster. We are all one people. God bless Ghana. pic.twitter.com/UcycJiL4KU
