Chelsea has made a €60 Million Bid for Palmeiras’ Brazilian Wonderkid Estevao Willian.
Reporter Jorge Nicola has revealed that Chelsea is eager to secure the services of the Brazilian prodigy nicknamed “Messinho” (Little Messi). The club has allegedly made a substantial offer of €60 million (£51 million/$63 million) for the 16-year-old sensation. The proposed deal comprises a base fee of €40 million (£34 million/$42 million) along with €20 million (£17 million/$21 million) in potential add-ons.
At 16 years old, the winger currently has a release clause set at €60 million. Nonetheless, according to the report, Palmeiras might reject the offer as they anticipate an increase in the player’s value. They are even contemplating presenting him with a new contract.
Last week, Messinho netted his inaugural goal for the Palmeiras senior team during their 3-1 victory against Liverpool in a Copa Libertadores match.
Chelsea are optimistic about securing the young talent’s signature before the 2024/25 season kicks off. Yet, they’ll contend with interest from two other Premier League outfits and Spanish powerhouse Barcelona. Whether the Brazilian club will part ways with the rising star in the forthcoming summer transfer window remains uncertain.
