Angelo Gabriel, a Brazilian winger, is sold to Al Nassr, according to Chelsea.

Less than a year after joining the Blues, the 19-year-old left the team without making a competitive appearance.
At a reported cost of £19.1 million, he joined Al Nassr of the Saudi Pro League, leaving Chelsea with a potential profit of £6.1 million.

Under Mauricio Pochettino’s direction, Angelo participated in Chelsea’s 2023 preseason tour before spending the season on loan at sister club Strasbourg. During his tenure in France, he made 24 appearances but was unable to score any goals.

Angelo was forced to practice away from the first team when he returned to Chelsea this summer, along with a sizable senior cohort that included Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling, and Romelu Lukaku.

After failing to land a transfer abroad during the English transfer season, Angelo was able to clinch a lucrative contract with Al Nassr, who also signed goalkeeper Bento, a Brazilian international, and Mohamed Simakan, a defender for RB Leipzig, this summer.

Chelsea had been negotiating the loan of one of their other Brazilian talent prospects. Flamengo had reached out to striker Deivid Washington before their transfer window closed on Monday, but they were unable to finalize a deal in time. Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Monaco, according to Globo, were all interested in Washington.

Washington was heavily linked with Strasbourg and Hull City during the final days of August but is now in line to remain at Stamford Bridge.
