Christopher Ennin Takes Charge As New Head Coach Of FC Samartex

Christopher Ennin has been named the new head coach of FC Samartex, the reigning Ghana Premier League champions.

Nurudeen Amadu, who left the team after a run of disappointing performances, is replaced by Ennin.

Even though Amadu guided Samartex to a historic league championship, the team lost in the FA Cup preliminary round and their first CAF Champions League campaign.

In a statement, the club expressed their confidence in Ennin, saying, “Chris is our man. We are delighted to confirm that Christopher Ennin has agreed to become the club’s new Head Coach.”

Having managed Berekum Chelsea and, most recently, Moneni Pirates in the Premier League of Eswatini, Ennin brings a plethora of experience to Samartex.

He accepted the open post at Samartex’s Nsenkyire Sports Complex after resigning from his position with Moneni Pirates earlier this season.

With Samartex now lying at 17 points after 14 games in the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League season, the new head coach has a difficult task ahead of him.

Improving the team’s play and moving up the league standings will be Ennin’s initial objectives.

The next test for Samartex will be when they play Nations FC at home at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
